Over 300 youths and elders from Tigania West have today urged city lawyer Henry Kurauka to vie in the next polls and be their area Member of Parliament.
Those who spoke to the press after the endorsement said that Kurauka has been a key figure especially on the issues of advocating the Miraa prices and transparency in leadership.
” Wakili Henry Kurauka has been calling on the authority to increase the Miraa prices for the betternment of our lives, he has also called on fair distribution of resources, we want to urge him to vie for the Parliamentary post in 2027 ,” Said Martin Muthogi
Another resident, John Mburung’a, said that the lawyer on several occasions moved to court to fight against all the evils committed against the people Tigania West and Meru County at large.
” You See he has stopped bad governance that we have been witnessing in Meru University, he frequently fight miraa cartels and recently he called upon our leaders to ensure a fair distribution of resources to the people and endure a fair distribution of bursaries to the needy, this is the person we want,” he added.
When reached for comment, Kurauka thanked the residents for appreciating his work.
” I am happy that my good people of Tigania West and Meru at large have appreciated my work, i will make my announcement very soon but let it be known that I am the face of of good governance,” he said
